This browser-based utility extracts code point values from Unicode text. Anything that you paste or enter in the text area on the left automatically gets converted to code points on the right. It supports all Unicode symbols and it works with emoji characters. You can also customize the output base and adjust the delimiter between code points. This utility converts your Unicode input data to code point values. Each Unicode character is associated with a non-negative integer called a code point (or a code position). For example, the Unicode character U+0041 is the capital Latin letter "A", number U+2713 is a check mark "✓", and the value U+1f44d is a thumbs up sign "👍". The U+XXXX notation uses a hexadecimal format (X's are hex digits) but you can also choose binary, octal, decimal, or configure your own base (available from 2 to 36). You can also adjust the output delimiter to clearly see each code point's boundary.
This example uses a motivational English phrase "I can and I will", written with interesting Unicode characters as input and extracts hexadecimal code points for each character in the output.
In this example, we convert the Phoenician alphabet of 22 characters to their code points. We set the octal output base and separate the code positions with a comma symbol.
In this example, we have written out a list of popular professions using Unicode characters. We find the code points for all these symbols and emojis and output them in a custom radix-24.
